Amy Gammelgard, Creative Strategist, Inspyr Agency

Let's meet, Amy Gammelgard, Creative Strategist at Inspyr Agency. Amy was born and raised in Bloomington and graduated from Illinois State University so her knowledge on our community is vast. See our interview below:

Me: How would your family describe you as a child?

Amy: My family would describe me as a friendly child with lots of ideas. I would coordinate parades and Christmas caroling around my neighborhood.

Me: What did you want to be when you grew up?

Amy: I always wanted to be a teacher and played lots of "school" growing up. I also wanted to work in advertising like Angela Bower from Who's the Boss. I got my wish!

Me: What was your very first job ever?

Amy: I started babysitting when I was 10 years old. My first official paycheck came from TCBY where I poured frozen yogurt, made waffle cones, and decorated cakes. I ended up managing the store so I hired my sister and all my friends to work with me. I loved that job!

Me: What are some of your most favorite things/hobbies?

Amy: My favorite things to do are boutique shopping, exploring, creating, designing, party planning, and spending time with family.

Me: What is a little known fact about you?

Amy: I have been to the Oprah Show. I can't stand the feeling of cotton balls. I can speed blink.

Me: Who would you most like to meet (celebrity, public figure, etc.)?

Amy: Justin Timberlake - I'm a big fan! I would also love to meet Hoda Kobe!

Me: Is there anything you would like to share about you or your family?

Amy: I am the youngest of 3 daughters. My mom grew up on a farm in Lexington, IL and my dad grew up in Normal. My husband and I attended Bloomington High School. We started dating in college. We have been married 14 years and have two sweet sons and a dog named Chewie.

When Amy is not working for Inspyr Agency, she runs a private Facebook group called "The LOVE IT List" that supports small local businesses in Central Illinois and beyond. Amy brings a lot of creativity to our agency and is an excellent addition to our team.
